This Week in Live Music

It's been an amazing week of live music here at recordBar...

Monday night singer, songwriter Barns Courtney subdued a packed room with his hit "Golden Dandelions," truly lit things up with "Fire," rocking us all with a brilliant set. Uberfans were delighted by a special treat, as Barns went sans-pantalones (only replacing his boots to guard his bare feet from shards of glass) and sang us a custom tune from crowd shouted topics.

The resulting song was a powerful ballad reveling on the majesty of Kansas City, beautiful ladies, and sweet, succulent pineapples. It was ad lib at its most awesome!

Stage set for blowing of minds

Supporting act FoxTrax made a lasting impression in their opening bid and rightfully earned a new audience here in KC. Very impressive set.

On Tuesday, COIN vigorously delivered their mantra of "how will you know if you never try" to a sold out house. Vibrating and careening the shoulder to shoulder room with their pop-rock hits "Talk to Much" and "Feeling." With opening support from Arizona, the fan kids went out of their minds with live music and none are soon to forget this night.

And it's not even over yet...

Tonight we've got an amazing indy show of bands brought together by Indyground and Toasted featuring Tiny, Karma Kids, Slump Gang 77 and more

On Saturday the one and only Ron Gallo will be headlining with support from White Reaper, and Psychic Heat guaranteed to be one hell of a rock show. Tickets are available online right now, or at doors for either show.

Sunday night wraps up the weekend of sound with The Peoples Liberation Big Band, so come down and get funky with us and enjoy the local drafts or a cocktail at the bar.

And don't forget to bring your appetite as we have a select menu including our renowned pizza selections, small plates, salads and more. Hint: ask about the torta and the double burger, they're both amazing!

See you at the show!
