Parking in KC and More Live Music

First things first

If you're driving yourself (and friends) to a show the first thing you'll need to do is find a place to park, and in downtown KC (like any big city) finding something close to your destination can be a bit tough.

Parking on the street in a legal spot is the go to, but they also go fast. What you DO NOT want to do is park in any lot that isn't clearly defined by signage as belonging to the place you're headed. Lots in any metropolitan area are prime real estate and if it says they'll tow, they will definitely tow.

And that's a surprise we don't wish on any of our patrons, especially those coming from out of town.

With that warning in mind, here are some alternatives and a link to some areas to park, including where you can park and grab a free street car ride that stops a couple blocks from recordBar!

First, go check out the map here on KC's Visitor's page. Keep in mind that we are on Grand Blvd and there are many public parking lots within walking distance for a reasonable rate.

Second, head over to the KC Streetcar page, and check out the stops on this awesome downtown amenity available for all, and visit some other iconic and eclectic places to enjoy entertainment and eats while you're down here.

Now on to the sounds

We've had great music happening this week, so much we've been too busy to brag about it much.

On Monday we had the pleasure of hosting Potter's Field and The PopSkull Rebels. Tuesday the stage was handed over to up-and-coming AJ and AY Young for their unique brand of music styling and record release in KC. Jeff & Norm jammed out on Wednesday, and afterward, we spun the Wheel of Death, Karaoke that is, belting out hits with heavy rain in the background.

Tonight we've got an incredible show lined up delivering the tales of music from Ibéria in a Latin connection to music of many genres from around the world performed by Ensemble Ibérica with support from the tantalizing rhythms of Making Movies.

And the rest of the weekend? There's more so go check it out now on our website or our Facebook page and get tickets to any of the fantastic live music headed to the recordBar stage. And don't forget that we have a full menu of upscale bar eats available at every show!

And please Share, Share, Share this important public service announcement to save anybody we can from a poor parking predicament. Thank you in advance!
