To Our Patrons and All Music Fans, Here at recordBar you and our employee’s health and safety are our top priority. We want you to feel comfortable enjoying your next visit knowing we are following all the guidelines in combating the spread of COVID-19. Parking in KC and More Live Music

First things first If you're driving yourself (and friends) to a show the first thing you'll need to do is find a place to park, and in downtown KC (like any big city) finding something close to your destination can be a bit tough. Parking on the street in a legal spot is the go to, but they also go fast. What you DO NOT want to do is park in any lot that isn't clearly defined by signage as belonging to the place you're headed. Lots in any metropolitan area are prime real estate and if it says they'll tow, they will definitely tow. And that's a surprise we don't wish on any of our patrons, especially those coming from out of town. Westport recordBar Fifteen years ago, Shawn Sherrill and I dove headfirst into an idea, a dream, we'd been talking about for years before that. We'd toured the nation in indie rock bands. We'd DJ'd house parties and clubs. We'd spent hours slinging drinks and waiting tables. And now we were going to do all that and be our own bosses. recordBar was born Originally, we had no great ambition to be the internationally recognized music venue that it has become. We wanted a place for our community to gather, eat, laugh, and drink. We knew we could do live music because of our personal history but it wasn't the plan from the beginning.
