Lake Chicken and Live Music

Rest for the Wicked

We started off the week with a much needed day of R'n'R out at the lake, family style. Good times were had by all as we floated 'round our pontoon battle station and sank a floaty or two reveling in rock and lakeweed headdress.

And no picnic on the sea (lake) would be complete without fried chicken from Strouds consumed over open water. Risky? Sure, but I'm pretty sure we set a world record.

The Week in Music

This week has seen amazing live performances by Bruiser Queen, Slothrust, and Ratboys who all rocked it hard on Tuesday night. Our weekly performance by Jeff and Norm carried everyone through midweek and into an all night Karaoke session with Lady Magic Unicorn. And last night Keaton Conrad delivered his cool brand of indie genre fusion.

Tonight we've got hometown heroes Katy Guillen and the Girls with Hiedi Lynne Gluck, and AM Trio in support. On Saturday we host musician (and educator) John Davis, proceeded by an awesome line-up of Evil English, Slights, and Small Waves

Grab tickets for either show at www.therecordbar.com or at the door this weekend and come hungry as we offer a now full menu of upscale bar fare to tide you over in the wake of live music.

See you here!
