Spirit of the Beehive tames the crowd on Thursday at recordBar

What's been happenin'...

We've had an awesome (and busy) live music schedule already this week at recordBar. The Crayons kicked off the rock on Monday with fan favorites and interactive art. Wednesday the Red Ball Jets jammed out familiar tunes followed by a fun filled night of Birthday Karaoke until close.

Thursday we were all blasted away by the emotional indy rock vibes of The Districts and welcomed back Spirit of the Beehives who are opening for them on tour this summer. The mixture of powerful chord play and odd timing signatures had us mesmerized. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out, they rocked our faces off!

Tonight we've got a great national event setting anchor on the recordBar stage as yacht rock tribute Summer Breeze makes port in KC. Saturday takes concert goers into the stratosphere (that's an air joke) as the US Air Guitar Championships hits the venue with high gust force! Mean Melin is back along with a wild bunch of competitors, new and old, battling it out with theatrical displays of wafting power chords to see who moves on to the next stage and eventually on to Finland. Our very own Steve Tulipana is one of the prestigious judges, touting real life air band experience for a rounded out bench.
